Playgroup is for babies, toddlers and preschoolers and their parents or carers. At Sanctuary Point Connect, we run four playgroups - Sing and Play Playgroup, Transition to School Playgroup, Binji & Boori Playtime and Baby Playgroup.  All groups are run by qualified staff.   At playgroup, you get to meet other people going through similar experiences, ease isolation and find out about the local community, health and support services. 


Sing and Play Playgroup

8-week program on Tuesdays 

9.30 - 11.00 am

Transition To School Playgroup

Wednesdays 9.30 - 11.00 am

Transition to School is a weekly transition to school playgroup for

children starting school next year.  This program is open to children

who will be attending  Sanctuary Point Public School the following

year. This playgroup helps ease preschoolers into the school
the environment in an informal setting.

Children also take part in the HIPPY Australia program.  HIPPY is funded by the Brotherhood of St Laurence and administered by Family Services Australia – Nowra  

Transition to School playgroup will join into Sanctuary Point Public Schools' Kinderstart Program in Term 4 (where possible) for those children who will commence school at Sanctuary Point Public School next year.


Binji & Boori Drop In

8-week program Mondays

9.30 am - 11.00 am


Binji and Boori Antenatal and Maternal Infant Child Health Service

offers a weekly catch up and play session for Aboriginal children at 

Sanctuary Point Connect.   A Health Nurse and Social Worker attend

the playgroup to answer any of your questions.

About Binji & Boori

Binji & Boori provide a culturally sensitive, holistic and flexible

approach to health care for Aboriginal families with children 0-6 years in the Shoalhaven region. Their multidisciplinary service includes midwives, child and family nurses, Aboriginal Health workers, social workers, drugs and alcohol and mental health workers.


They offer support, advice and health care to families through a range of different services, they aim to empower their clients to be able to make more informed healthy choices.   Where appropriate, they work in collaboration with other Aboriginal health services and community organisations to ensure continuity of care and best outcomes for families. Baby Playgroup

8-week program Thursdays

1.00 pm - 2.30 pm


This playgroup is for babies, crawlers, cruisers and first steppers. 

Playgroup gives babies an early start to learning through play and socialising.  At playgroup parents and carers get together weekly with their babies, to connect, play, interact and most importantly, have fun in a safe and welcoming environment.

No booking required. Latecomers welcome, simply turn up after your babies nap. Call Christine on 4443 0520 for more details.

Playing Safely

Please note that parents or carers are required to be present at all times. The accompanying adult is responsible for the supervision and safety of their children.  All groups are run in adherence to Connect's Code of Conduct.
